The Beauty of Photoshop!

I was recently commissioned to photograph a group of delegates at The Turnberry Resort in Miami during a Corporate event being held there.
By the time it came to photograph the group, the sun had disappeared, and the waterfall in the background had become dreary looking and lacklustre.
Fortunately, and with premeditated hindsight!, I had taken a photo when setting up an hour earlier when the sun was shining, and with the help of Photoshop, seamlessly dropped it in, and made it a bit bigger too! ..... who can tell?

Matt and Upohar

Matt & Upohar were married at the Palm Beach Convention Center several weeks ago.
Firstly my admiration goes out to Jilna Patel and her team at Suhaag Garden
for the fabulous décor, which accommodated close to 600 guests. Jilna never fails to pull off the impossible!
Anyway, as for the photographers, the somewhat daunting task of covering this event was made so much more enjoyable, courtesy of the bride and groom. The proceedings of the day flowed without a hitch, and smiles were rampant all around!, and as for the resulting photographs ... need I say more, check them out.
Thank you Matt and Upohar!

An Aqualina Resort & Spa wedding

The Aqualina Resort and Spa
with it's superb location and awesome views, is a great venue for photographing weddings, especially with the accommodating assistance of capable staff, in particular Susan Wesselhoft, Director of Catering, that oversaw the smooth running of the days events.
Carlos and Diana, were a pleasure to work with, allowing for plenty of informal and natural photos, which I hope captures the true essence of the day .... one filled with joy and love!

Student Days

I recently dug up some old photos taken a while back during my student days in Leeds, England.
The whole process of setting the correct exposure with a separate light meter, processing the film, and printing the negatives, seems like another world compared to todays instant digital cameras!

Anyway, I decided to submit the images to the Yorkshire Evening Post, since perhaps some distant relative might recognize the woman in the photo. I was very grateful that they did indeed publish the images along with some editorial on my photography exploits of yesteryear. Alas, no one contacted me regarding the images, though I'm sure it made interesting reading for the folks in Yorkshire!

An Inspiring Story!

As well as photographing weddings and events, I always welcome editorial portrait assignments.
In this instance it was for the National Jurist, a magazine for law students.

To photograph Desmond was a pleasure ... easy going, a great smile, and well on his way to making his dreams become a reality!
After reading the article about his background, it certainly puts your own personal problems into perspective!

A lesson for us all in self determination and discipline ... a real winner!

Event Décor Photos

It is always an honor and a privilege when truly talented professionals such as Jilna Patel Jasani and Bharti Patel of Suhaag Garden, Inc. request photographs to be taken of their amazing, yet elegant décor, created for their wedding or special event clients.
As you can see from the resulting photographs, the vibrant colors and detailed design elements are simply magnificent, which makes the whole process of taking these photos even more enjoyable!
